Later that night, back near Jared's domain, the meerkat and the blue hedgehog from chapter three were playing a game of cards. Timon, the small meerkat, carefully looked over his cards. Sonic, the blue hedgehog, did the same. Both of them were playing Go Fish as they were bored and needed something to pass the time. "Hmm. Got any three's?" asked Timon.

Sonic shook his head in boredom and said, "Go fish." While Timon quickly drew another card, he just realized something and had a look of anger on his face.

"Wait a minute! That is the fifth time I've had to draw a card! You've gotta have something in your hand that I have! Come let me see!" he shouted. Thus began a struggle between Sonic and Timon. The struggle eventually let to a catfight between the two and then it led up to creating a dust cloud around the two as the continued to fight.

Meanwhile, San was sitting near the lake side still a little sad over her capture. It was just then when she heard the noise coming from Sonic and Timon and immediately rushed over to where the noise was coming from. What she saw made her chuckle. But of course, she had to stop the catfight. "Guys!" she shouted. Quickly, both Sonic and Timon froze like a snapshot. "What are you two doing?" asked San.

"He started it!" both of them said pointing towards each other. Thus started another argument between the two. San snapped both of them out of their fighting once again.

"Guys! Listen. Fighting isn't the answer. Is there ever a moment when you two get along?" she said smiling. Both Sonic and Timon looked at each other for a quick second. Then Timon stuck out his hand to give Sonic a friendly handshake and both of them made up. "Nice to see you two getting along." said San. Both of them gave big grins towards the princess.

Timon then walked towards San kneeling down by her feet. "Now that we've stopped fighting, how bout' you and me tie the knot?" he asked San. However, the princess, feeling offended, smacked Timon hurling him into a nearby tree. Dazed and bruised he said, "A simple 'no' would've sufficed"

"Timon. I would've expected better from you. It's bad enough that I already have one guy on my back who wants to marry me. It's a little thing called bestiality." replied San.

"Yeah yeah...I know. You're still waiting your imaginary boyfriend to appear out of the blue!" exaggerated Timon. San could only sigh.

"Wow. You sound just like Ashitaka's mother." pointed out San. Sonic laughed at San's comment.

"Yeah. Maybe you should hook up with her. At least it'll be better than the rabid fans who like to pair me up with Elise." said Sonic shuddering at such a thought. Timon however, held up his fist in front of Sonic's face.

As San smiled at her friends' silliness, her smile was slowly fading away. She felt something building up inside of her. Yet she really didn't know exactly what it was. "Guys...something's wrong. I feel like..." she said slowly.

"What? What's wrong?" asked Sonic.

"I feel like...singing...a cliche love song" said the young princess. Both Timon and Sonic jumped up in horror. Sonic couldn't help but do the 'Dun Dun Dunnnn' sound effect. Both of them immediately ran towards the princess practically yelling at her to hold it in. After the horrible lyrics that had been written in the second chapter, both Sonic and Timon wanted to prevent another badly written song from playing.

But it was no use. San couldn't hold it in any longer. When she opened her mouth, both Sonic and Timon expected something awful. But what they got wasn't all that bad. As San looked up towards the moon, she sang sweetly her ballad.

As she sang, Ashitaka, who was in his room sitting near his desk thinking about his love, could feel her voice coming towards him. He got up and felt the urge to sing as well. Suddenly, he felt the entire scenario change before his eyes as the air blew through his hair.

Right there in front of him was of course San. He smiled and both joined each other in the song.

Both lovers smiled as they sang the lyrics as the hugged each other dearly. Ashitaka looked at San and began the next verse.

Ashitaka: The chance was so unlikely that we would ever be

San: Two stars among the heavens; Destiny brought you to me

As they ended their song, they slowly drifted away from one another. Before reality caught with him, Ashitaka shouted to San, if she could hear him, "San! Don't worry! I'll be back for you!"

As reality finally came back into place, Ashitaka crash landed in his room knocking over his desk as he landed on the floor. Dazed from the experience he just had, all he could say to himself was, "Woah...did I just sing a song by Christina Aguilera?"

On the other side, San had come back to reality perfectly alright. She smiled as she knew that he was still looking for him. On the other hand, both Sonic and Timon looked at the princess with curiosity.  "When do you think she'll stop staring into space?" whispered Timon.

Sonic however had tears coming from his eyes. "Who knew that copyright infringement could be so beautiful."

However, San's concentration was broken when she noticed a glider coming towards them. On it was an injured person in a light blue suit. "Wait a minute...I think I know that person!" said San. Sonic and Timon were confused. San ran towards the middle of the lake and waved her arms yelling, "Over here! Turn your glider!" she yelled.

But it seemed like the flyer on the glider was too injured to steer. The glider was heading straight for Jared's castle. Before the pilot could crash with the glider into the walls, the pilot let go of the handles on the sides of the glider and fell into the middle of the lake as the gilder crashed into the walls of the castle.

As Jared quietly read in his private study, he heard the crash from outside. "Invaders? Hmm...I'll go check." he said. With his pale white skin, he grabbed his cloak and walked out of the castle.

San quickly rushed into the middle of the lake and swam for the pilot's body. She was able to grab the body just before Jared's sharks could attack. It was a close call, as San almost got bitten by one of them. As she dragged the body out of the water, she finally saw why the sharks attacked. The pilot was bleeding on the right shoulder.

The pilot's face was hidden as it was wearing a mask. Once San removed the mask, what she was came to her as a surprise. The pilot of the glider was revealed to be Princess Nausicaa (from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind). As Sonic and Timon rushed over to San's side, they were shocked by the amount of blood was stained on te right shoulder.

Immediately, San began sucking the blood and spitting it out as it appeared that a bullet had been shot into the shoulder. The poison would almost kill Nausicaa. Once San was done, she slowly took the bullet out and washed her face with the water from the lake. "I dare you touch her to see if she's alive." said Sonic. Timon slowly stuck out his finger, poked Nausicaa's arm about 3 times and stepped back.

"Her arm was still kind of warm. Who is this girl?" asked Timon. Once San was done washing the blood off her mouth, she looked down at the body.

"That's Princess Nausicaa." she replied. Both Sonic and Timon were confused.

"How do you know her San?" asked Sonic.

"Nausicaa and I were created by the same person. So we've know each other for a while. Of course, Nausicaa is older than I am." said San. Timon and Sonic were still confused but they decided to forget the matter. Nausicaa opened her eyes slowly as she moaned at how tired she was. When she was fully awake, she noticed San in front of her.

"San? Is that you?" asked Nausicaa. San nodded as she helped the Princess up. However, due to the pain in her shoulder, Nausicaa couldn't stand up that well. When she could at least walk a little, Nausicaa walked over to a nearby tree and sat down. She needed to rest as her wound was deadly. Everyone followed as they all sat down near the injured Princess. "Tell me San. Where exactly are we?" asked Nausicaa.

"Shh. Don't speak too loud. Listen to me Nausicaa, I'm under a spell. I've been kidnapped by a sorcerer." whispered San. Nausicaa slowly took in all the information. However, Nausicaa didn't reply as right behind them was Jared.

"So tell me San. Who's your friend? No wait! Don't tell me. It seems I've gotten all the information I need. You were trying to escape weren't you?" asked Jared. San shook her head in worry.

"No. I wasn't! I was just..." said San. She was interrupted by Jared's anger.

"Quiet! I don't want to hear it! It seems as if you need a proper punishment. After all you did let a stranger onto my grounds." said Jared. He showed San the moon. What she saw was heartbreaking. The moon was going down.

Unable to control her fate, San walked towards the front of the lake. Feeling a pain inside her, she started to transform back into the white wolf. As Jared chuckled at San's transformation, Nausicaa, Sonic, and Timon looked at San in terror.

Once she was fully transformed, Jared left and went back inside his castle. San sat there in the water completely silent. Nausicaa was the most shocked out of the three. "San..." she said as the wolf sat there in the middle of the lake having tears come down her eyes.
